Moving

Paromita Goswami

from
apartment to apartment
city to city

Bhubaneswar-Pittsburgh-Gurgaon

from Crossings to Greater Noida

they come and they go
they haunt, they follow

kiss the memories goodbye
long salt-sweet kisses
life-giving kisses

Sutanoti-Boston-Bodaki

where there are kaash flowers
Apu-Durga will always have a place to run away.

Paromita Goswami teaches marketing and how to understand consumers; she researches violence, peace, safe-sex, masculinity, youth and environmental-consciousness; through all this she is figuring the meaning of existence. She cannot believe that she has survived being a parent for twenty years with only a partial loss of mind.

Anannya Dasgupta has been photographing kaash flowers since the autumn of 2013.
